PALERMO – The MUSIC4D project is gearing up for its final act: a strategic wrap-up event aimed at transforming months of research and experimentation into a permanent cultural infrastructure for the Higher Education system.

On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, starting at 9:30 AM, the Auditorium of the “Alessandro Scarlatti” Conservatory of Music in Palermo will host the national conference, Music4D: A Tool for Implementing Extended Partnerships: Pathways and Strategies for the Circulation of Knowledge. This gathering provides a public opportunity to capitalize on the products developed and relationships forged, transferring their benefits to the entire AFAM (Higher Education in Art, Music, and Dance) system and defining an operational roadmap for the next three years.

Proceedings will open at 10:15 AM in the Aula Magna with institutional greetings from the Director of the Palermo Conservatory, Mauro Visconti, and President Giovanni Angileri This will be followed by a joint presentation of the MUSIC4D journey, featuring Antonio Di Donato (Director General of the PNRR Mission Unit at the Ministry of University and Research – MUR) and Michele Mazzola (Head of Research Internationalization at MUR).

Subsequently, the management board, coordinated by Roberto Cuccia, Head of Support for the Project’s Single Responsible Officer (RUP), and Maestro Fabio Crescente, will present the results achieved across six thematic macro-areas. These range from the technological evolution of platforms and connections (overseen by university partners UNIPA and UNICAL alongside industry experts), to the educational and scientific framework of the Technical-Scientific Committee (CTS), and finally to the operational, administrative, and communication architecture that supported the project’s various Work Packages.

Running parallel to the strategic discussions, the Aula Magna will also feature an operational dissemination area: an interactive lab where all partners will showcase demos and installations. This will allow attendees to interact directly with the deliverables and prototypes generated by the research.

In the afternoon, the agenda continues with the final Partnership Meeting. During this closed-door session, consortium members will address post-project governance decisions and draft the MOU (Memorandum of Understanding), the collaboration agreement that will ensure the continuity and scalability of the network.

The day will end with a public presentation of the meeting’s outcomes, during which the shared roadmap for the future will be outlined.

Music4D: A Tool for Implementing Extended Partnerships:  Pathways and Strategies for the Circulation of Knowledge officially marks the success of the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan) project. Led by the Palermo Conservatory in synergy with the Conservatories of Catania, Trapani, Messina, Caltanissetta, Ribera, Cagliari, and Sassari, alongside university partners, the project has proven to be a true catalyst for transitioning toward more innovative, sustainable, and internationally minded models of music education and production.
