Giuseppe Vasapolli

Professor at the Alessandro Scarlatti Conservatory of Music in Palermo, Giuseppe Vasapolli is a pianist, composer, and artistic director with a strong aptitude for interdisciplinary design. For years he has worked on integrating sound, landscape, and audiovisual languages, with particular attention to the identity contexts of Southern Italy. He is the author of numerous scores for films, documentaries, and multimedia installations, and has initiated applied research on the use of artificial intelligence in creative processes related to musical composition. In the educational field, he experiments with innovative methodologies for training young musicians, including the creation of immersive environments and the use of spatial computing technologies. Within the MUSIC4D project, he coordinates musical activities in western Sicily, fostering collaboration between conservatories, artists, and creative enterprises. His multidisciplinary approach is founded on a vision of sound as a narrative and emotional form.
